VACAY STYLE: MAUI TRIP PART I

As most of you know, we recently returned from an INCREDIBLE trip to Maui. I have been posting photos on insta nonstop from the trip, but finally getting around to sharing them here with you on the blog. I had a few of you girls asking me about my swimwear, what I packed and where we stayed so I’m sharing that all with you today!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Dress (OOS- so sorry! Here is similar and love this and this one) / Sunglasses / Baker Boy Hat

First of all, I booked an amazing photographer Jess Johnson, while I was there so I didn’t have to interrupt our trip by always asking someone to take a photo of me! We also dont like carrying around big cameras with us when we travel so this worked out so well. I love these photos so much. I highly recommend Jess if you are looking for a photographer on the island!

As you can tell I’m in my element! I was so happy to unplug and relax.  The beach + Hawaii in general is definitely my happy place. 🙂

Where we stayed:

We stayed at the most beautiful hotel in Maui (in my opinion)! The Four Season Wailea is the most gorgeous property. The room are incredible, so big and modern and the service is something I have never experienced before. We’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and this might be my favorite of all time. The views are stunning from every direction and the pool and beach dont get much better. Even the food and drinks at the pool were delicious- highly recommend the sushi! There was nothing to complain about here and HIGHLY RECOMMEND in all aspects if you are planning a trip to Maui in the future!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Bikini Top / Bikini Bottom /Sunglasses / Hat

The sunsets in Maui are INSANE. Every single night they took my breath away. (And the photo above was taken from my iphone!)

What I packed:

I packed a LOT of dresses, both short and maxis for this trip. Pretty much all I wore! Needless to say, a lot of off the shoulder dresses. 🙂 I wore this white dress from Vici to dinner one night, and it complimented my tan/ sunburn nicely. 🙂 Unfortunately it’s out of stock (so sorry!) but I also brought this, this and this dress with me as well.

I wore this, and this dress during the day and LOVED them both SO much!  Also, post to come on this maxi. This and this were the perfect cover ups!

I also probably packed wayyyy too many hats for my own good, but I am obsessed with hats! If you follow me on instagram you have probably noticed that I am wearing a hat in the past 20 or so pictures! This Lack of Colors Rancher is my absolute favorite. I’m also loving this, this and this one from the brand. I also wore this straw baker boy hat quite a bit as well!

So let’s talk swimwear. I bought so many different suits online, then realized that I’d wear them all once and not again for another year or 2… when in Rome? I am also working on a part 2 of this post and will share a few other swim styles as well. Needless to say, this one I’m wearing above is one of my favorites. I love the high waist bottoms and cute little tie on the top. Below are a few other styles I snagged.

I will be posting part 2 of my Maui trip soon! Hope you all have a great rest of the week!

As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been a huge fan of Lorna Jane activewear for a long time now, and one of the best things about blogging is working with brands that I admire.

HOW TO WEAR A BLAZER SET DAY OR NIGHT

Hi hi!! It’s been soooo since I’ve posted on the blog and I’ve missed it! I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately and haven’t had a chance to catch up here! Hope you all are doing well!

Anyways, I have been keeping up on instagram, so if you follow me there you can keep up daily. I posted this look to insta, and I got a lot of questions so I figured I’ll post to the blog with all of the outfit details.

OUTFIT DETAILS: BLAZER (50% OFF!) /  SHORTS (50% OFF!) / CROP TOP / BAG / BOOTS / HEELS (BELOW)

Erica Garlieb Photography

I love a good blazer, so when I saw this set on the Tobi site I knew I had to have it. I find blazers to be so on trend, while sophisticated and timeless. I wear a lot of blazers to work, and also think they can be so cute out on the town.

I love that this particular blazer had matching high waist shorts. I paired them with a sexy crop top because the shorts are a bit on the longer side with a high waist. The blazer is also a bit oversized so I felt like I needed something on the tighter side. You can see that I paired with both combat boots and strappy sandals to change it up a bit and share how shoes can really change a look.

For a daytime look: pair the blazer with a white tee or casual tank top and keep the shoes casual. I think combat boots and sneakers are both really cute options.

For an evening look: pair with a sexy crop top or lace tank. I would only recommend a crop top with a high waist pant or shorts. Also, sexy strappy heels will instantly give this more of a date night feel.

What do you guys think? xo

PASTEL MUST-HAVES

I’m usually a neutral kinda girl, but I’m getting more and more out of my comfort zone and loving all things pastel lately. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite pastel finds, along with this pretty little L’Academie lilac number.

OUTFIT DETAILS: DRESS / BAG / HEELS

Out of all of my favorite pastel finds, lilac and baby blue and having a moment in my book. They are such pretty, feminine shades that I’ve been *extra* drawn to lately. I’m usually not a big fan of pastel pink, but I’ve found myself venturing out of my norm this season!

I snagged this and this sweater from H&M which started me off on this kick, and then I found this gorgeous lilac dress from Revolve which I wore on Easter Sunday. It’s such a beautiful classic button down dress, super lightweight and elegant.

How stunning is this maxi? Snagging it for my Maui trip in May! Also LOVE this and this two piece set, this lavender moto jacket as well as this long sleeve crop top. I’ve been wearing my Superga sneaks nonstop, but I also love this baby blue pair, and these blue vans.

Julia Engel from Gal Meets glam just launched her dress line at Nordstrom and its a beautiful collection of pastels. So so proud to see a fellow blogger launch her own line! I’m in LOVE with this dress from the collection.

And a few more favorites:

Hope you all have a great weekend! xo
