My Favorite Activewear Brand

Hi loves! I haven’t posted in awhile so  I’m trying to get back into the swing of things! I have been traveling a lot for work lately (London, Cancun then LA to visit fam) and haven’t had a spare moment to blog- but I miss it!

Today I wanted to share some of my favorites from one of my favorite activewear brands- ALALA. This brand is super hip and trendy, kind of city chic which I love.

These mesh cut-out tights are my absolute favorite pair of tights I own! I wear them almost way too much! They are extremely high quality and haven’t changed a bit since throwing them in the wash every week.

Here are some of my favorite new releases from ALALA:

How gorge is this marble print? Also loving the blue and of course the all mesh details. I think I will need to pick up the 2 sports bras on the top for sure! I have a similar style to the pants on the bottom right with a different print and love them. They are so comfortable and really flattering.

Since these picks are pretty pricey, I am thinking about sharing some of my favorite Forever 21 workout looks with you guys as one of my next fashion posts. They have a ton of cute stuff right now (and budget friendly)! Let me know what you guys think!

Zucchini Bites Recipe

I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for a healthy breakfast that I can grab on my way to work. I like to stock up on FAGE greek yogurt and green juices (love Pressed Juicery) for breakfast, but I’ve also been super into these zucchini bites recently! My mom had this recipe written down and its risen to the top of the list as one of my favorites.

Cycle For Survival + 2 Barry’s Bootcamp Classes

Happy Monday loves! Its that time of year again- Cycle for Survival is making it’s way through the country raising millions of dollars for cancer research. This will be my second year spinning at the event for my team, The Spinderellas.

unnamed (4)

We team up with Cycle for Survival each year to fight against cancer. Every single dollar raised goes to the research or patient care, thanks to Equinox, and donors, providing everything for the event. Cycle for Survival has raised over $74.5M to-date, and last year was the biggest year ever — raising over $25M! (The Spinderellas raising over $30,000!)

The cause for Cycle For Survival is near and dear to my heart as I have had a handful of very close friends and family members battle cancer; some of them overcoming it, while others not as fortunate. You never think its going to happen to someone you love, but its real and painful.

Last year I had the HONOR and absolute pleasure to watch Brian Rozelle speak at the Cycle for Survival event. Brian was MY AGE (28) when he was diagnosed with a rare and terminal cancer of the bile duct. This past April, three years after his diagnosis, Brian passed away; leaving his fiancée, family, friends and the Cycle For Survival community heartbroken. I will always remember Brian’s motto: “I fight not for the fear of dying but for the joy of living.”

I will be riding at the San Francisco Cycle For Survival event on February, 27th to honor all those who have battled, who continue to battle and especially for those who are no longer here to battle.

My team will be hosting a handful of events in San Francisco, the first two being Barry’s Bootcamp classes! 100% of the class registration will be donated to The Spinderellas (we have a $40,000 goal this year!) Here are the links for those who would like to sign up for a class this week/end!

Thursday Jan 28 7:50pm-8:50pm SOMA LOCATION: click here for tickets

Sunday Jan 31 2:30-3:30pm MARINA LOCATION: click here for tickets

If you cant make either class and would like to donate, click here.

Healthy Lunching with Farm Hill

Ok so if you guys have been reading for awhile now, you know this about me- I love to “meal prep” on Sundays (make my lunches and some dinners for the whole week in advance) but I also LOVE a good healthy pre-made meal. Time is of the essence these days and if my Sunday gets away from me easy and healthy meal options are a must. I still always like to plan ahead in order to get the most of my meals. Munchery, Sprig and Sunbasket are on my list, but I have another favorite to add. Farm Hill was just introduced to me a few weeks ago, and after consistently trying their meals I love it!

(This was my favorite meal! Chicken, kale and sweet potatoes! Exactly what I cook at home but 10x better! )

Farm Hill is for my Bay Area peeps (check the website for delivery areas)- founded in 2013 with a mission to make healthy eating simple. (YES- it can be easy to eat healthy!)

Farm Hill 1. offers fresh and healthy meals at the click of a button, and 2. scales this for anyone that’s trying to stay fit, get healthy, or just craving a fix of kale for lunch.

What I love about Farm Hill:
  • Boxes are curated and packaged fresh each morning and out for delivery by lunch
  • Menu rotates on a weekly basis, featuring cuisines and tastes from all over the world
  • A bit untraditional- treats like date bite truffles and chipotle-roasted almonds as dessert
  • Gluten and Dairy Free
  • Each box comes with the option of a vegan or paleo substitute – 85% of boxes are listed at $9.99 or less and they also offer catering at $13/portion. As for delivery, they charge $1.99 per order (regardless of order size)
  • I love supporting small start ups that are on their way to being a huge success (They started in a small kitchen in Campbell, CA and packaged their first boxes in cardboard with handwritten labels)

06a83fd7-9b20-4590-ae4d-ec21eb52a04a

(This chicken salad was delicious and so was the Vegan plate in the back!)

So what’s the difference between all these meal services?

There’s Sprig who promotes “Healthy, organic meals” and Munchery, whose motto is “Real food, delivered.” Farm Hill’s mission is to make healthy eating, truly simple. They focus on making a few items really well, rather than having a laundry list of options.

Farm Hill is offering you a 10% off discount code! Enter code ‘JPFARMHILLSF’ at checkout (applicable on all orders $9.99 or more).

Try it for yourself and let me know what you think! Thank you Farm Hill!
