Yoga has been one of those things that I have been meaning to do on a weekly basis but I haven’t really prioritized until recent. I’ve was feeling tight and fatigued quite often and my monthly massages at Project Zen were not necessarily doing the trick. Massages were helping me short term, but about a week later I was experiencing a lot of pain in my neck, shoulders and hamstrings from lifting. I started hot yoga again about 2 weeks ago and I’m feeling like a new person! My weekend routine (& break from the gym) has consisted of a long run, followed by 90 mins of hot yoga…my perfect combo!
I am not an experienced yogi, but practice makes perfect right? (I am hoping!)
My outfit is by a brand called YOGASMOGA. I am ALWAYS on the hunt for activewear, especially comfy yoga pants. When I came across YOGASMOGA it was love at first sight! 😉 I visited the shop in downtown SF and loved the whole vibe. I had a hard time choosing just a few items! (I think I spent a good hour in the fitting room deciding!)
My top is called my racer back and pants are run jump n twist crop. The tank comes in many colors and fits perfectly. Its on the longer side if you like that look. Also runs small, so order size or 2 up! These crops are my absolute favorite! If you follow me on instagram you have seen them quite often! I have been wearing them nonstop. I’ve also been wearing this mesh tank ALL.THE.TIME and have this one in my cart. I am also looking forward to trying their sports bras! I’m not kidding you, I’m loving this brand! As soon as I find a great activewear brand with great quality, standards and different items I don’t see everywhere I will keep repurchasing. I’m sure you’ll be hearing and seeing YOGAMOGA on me quite often!
YOGASMOGA is offering you loves a discount!! If you visit the San Francisco store and mention my name and blog post they will give you $25 towards your first apparel purchase!! That’s huge- thank you YOGASMOGA!
Now onto yoga studios. Here are a my favorite yoga studios in San Francisco:
Body Temp Hot Yoga: When it comes to fitness classes, I am all about location. This one is 2 blocks from my house, which is on of the many reasons why I keep going back. They have great classes and times that work for me. I usually take the Basic 90 min class, but Sculpt and Power 75 are also great for more advanced if you want more then just a stretch. Candlelight class is another favorite of mine, a great way to wind down after a long day. These classes do get SUPER full, which is the only downside. It is a bit tight in the room with so many people, but there is never a waitlist. They also opened up a studio across the street called Renew which is not bikram, but more pilates, stretch and rolling type techniques. I have yet to try, but let me know if you have!
Yoga Flow: This is another hot yoga studio which I love. The teachers are lovely, the room is always clean and the studio itself is peaceful, surrounded by greenery and a serene glass roof. Most classes are for all levels, and I haven’t felt out of place going at my own pace or taking a break. That said, they don’t offer as many different types of classes as Body Temp. This studio is a bit cheaper and a bit cleaner, but it is a bit further from my house which is why I dont frequent as much. A must try for those of you in the area!
The Pad Studios: This is my favorite non-bikram studio. This studio is absolutely gorgeous! I love the space, class times and thoughtful instruction. I’ve tried both Power Flow and Hatha. Power Flow was vigorous, sweaty, and challenging, and Hatha Flow had us holding the poses longer but still moving through a couple of vinyasas. Both instructors had a great command of the room and helpful approach. I have also heard that they have a live reboot class with a live DJ? Count me in! The Pad is clean, spacious and love love love the instructors here!
I have also been meaning to try CorePower Yoga in the Financial District! Has anyone been? A great way for you to visit more classes and find what is right for you, is by ClassPass. I posted about ClassPass awhile back here for more info!
Would love to hear about your favorite yoga studio. If you have any others to suggest please let me know in the comments!

Hi Jenna! Love the YOGASMOGA wear. I went to the pop-up location in Walnut Creek near me. You should definitely try your free week at CorePower. It’s always a solid sweat session — and the classes are very fast-paced if you take CP2 or Sculpt. As far as other studios in the City that I loved? Satori in the Financial District has some great instructors. I also enjoyed Glow in North Beach. NAMASTE, lady!
