One of my favorite things about our recent move to Nob Hill (San Francisco) is my commute to work. It now takes me 10 minutes to walk to and from my office where as prior I was hopping on the bus which would take me sometimes close to an hour. It’s been seriously life changing for me. You guys know that I always make time to workout and now that I can walk to work and have more time to workout during the day I am one happy camper let me tell ya!
I usually like to hit the gym after work which is close by as well. (We are spoiled with our new location!) So when Athleta reached out to partner with their #WorkInYourWorkout Challenge, it was right up my alley. Instead of walking to/from one location to the next, I have been changing up my routine and running to squeeze in that extra cardio wearing Athleta’s new commute line.

Athleta’s new commute line is genius. I feel like it was made for me! I am used to carrying a huge gym bag with me wherever I go, but with this new line I am able to bring just a change of shoes and be ready to go. Not to mention this backpack has been a lifesaver for my back! Lugging around my computer and gym clothes while walking up these steep hills in San Francisco is no easy feat.
All I need to do is change into sneakers, remove a layer or two and head out the door. My favorite thing to do after work on a nice San Francisco day is run home or to the gym and Athleta makes that so effortless.
The Herringbone Mercer Tights are so versatile and actually look like everyday leggings, with a thicker material to make more work appropriate. I’m in love with this sports bra! It’s cute while giving me the coverage and support I need for a run.
Since work-life balance is such a struggle for many these days, making time for fitness has been more challenging as well. This line inspires us to integrate both work and life worlds and make it easier for us to stay active and keep moving.
