MY SECOND TRIMESTER

As I head into my third trimester, I thought I’d share some highlights from my second. It was definitely my GOLDEN trimester and the very best so far! My first was awful, as I was so sick and didn’t think I’d see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then just as I’d read it was like clockwork, the day I entered my second I felt like a new person. I’ve really be thriving these last weeks and found my zen. I know it might seem rare, but I’ve found my zen and feel so at peace. I feel much more relaxed then my normal self and Jeff has been much happier because of it. I do feel like my emotions are running high, but this is the happiest time of my life and I have been cherishing every sweet moment of it. I couldn’t be more thankful for this time, and hope I can continue to feel this way as we get closer to her arrival.

MY SECOND TRIMESTER HIGHLIGHTS:

GROWING BELLY!

I think it was at about week 25 when I officially ‘popped’. I’m currently going into my 29th week and feeling huge! It’s hard to believe that I still have 2 more months of growth ahead of me. Like how in the world can I get bigger?!

BABY KICKS

This has been the most magical thing. Feeling her kick and move daily has been so cool. I started feeling her around week 19 or so, but now they are so much stronger and so much more often. 2 weeks ago, Jeff finally caught some movement and it was so so special. Now you can visibly see her move and I’m curious if I’ll see an imprint of a foot or hand eventually. I love feeling her little movements so much.

FEELING FULL BUT EATING MORE OF A VARIETY

I’m definitely running out of room and feeling full soooo quickly. It’s hard not to overeat but the feeling of being so full is awful. I am able to eat more of a variety of food again which is great. I don’t think I’ve had any heartburn but some mild un-comfort. I’m trying to eat more smaller meals each day, but some days are harder than others. I’m so thankful that I haven’t gotten sick as much as the first trimester, but I have been sick maybe ten times and I think its usually when I over eat.

HIGHER ENERGY

I had zero energy in my first trimester and I’m so happy to have much more this trimester. I’ve been able to get back to my daily workouts and last up to an hour in the gym. I’m definitely still tired and lower energy then my non-pregnant self, but I’m happy I’m able to workout, do some cardio and lift again.

WE WENT ON A BABYMOON

It was so freaking magical, and just what we needed. You can read more on my last blog post. I can’t recommend a baby moon enough. The second trimester is the time to go as I had energy to be active and feel comfortable.

BEGAN TO WORK ON THE NURSERY

We ordered the chair for her nursery and got a crib! It was surreal putting it together. I think that’s when Jeff really started like it was getting real. I’ve been going crazy on pinterest and created a mood board for her room. I can’t wait to share a reveal once it all comes together.

BABY SHOWER + REGISTRY PREP

We’re beginning to plan my baby shower in October and I’ve been working on my registry. Will share what I’ve added to my registry on a blog post to come soon!

PASSED MY GLUCOSE TEST

Woohooo! This was a big one that I was nervous about, but passed. Phew.

GOT A PREGNANCY PILLOW

I didn’t think I’d love it as much as I do! I ended up going with this one and can’t sleep without it.

MORE DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS

Doctor appointments continued but nothing out of the ordinary. They have been pretty fast and painless as we’ve had no issues so far. Love hearing her little heartbeat. They will pick up even more in the next 2 months and I think we have 1 more ultrasound in a few weeks.

We took the above photos in Maui and will treasure them forever!

Third trimester here we come… and the countdown begins! xx Jenna

MAUI TRIP: ITINERARY & OUTFITS

We just got back from the most INCREDIBLE vacation / babymoon / birthday trip of a lifetime so today I thought Id share our itinerary and all outfits details. Maui has always had a special place in our hearts, but this trip sealed the deal. It’s really our last trip without baby, and we also celebrated my birthday while on the island and made incredible memories that will stick with us for years to come.

I did a lot of research of hotels, restaurants and things to do while there and I’d recommend every single thing to you. A lot of you also gave such great recommendations on IG which helped so much! I’m a crazy planner, so I planned a lot of the trip in advance and booked reservations, but left a few days open for us to go with the flow. It was a perfect mix.

WHERE WE STAYED: Wailea Beach Resort

This is a Marriott hotel and Jeff is a Marriott member which helped us with upgrades. Even if we were not Marriott members, this hotel was incredible! I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the staff was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. The grounds are stunning, lot of different pools, stores, restaurants and activities to choose from. They have a Starbucks on the property and access to 2 different beaches. It’s also located right next to the Wailea Shops which was convenient. The rooms were nice and large, we requested a balcony with an ocean view and were so lucky to have a fireworks show one of the evenings. We stayed at the Four Seasons on our last Maui trip, and while that hotel is also STUNNING, I actually preferred the pools and beaches better at the Wailea Beach Resort. We will definitely be back (hopefully for many years to come).

^this was at the Serenity Adult Pool (absolute heaven)

^ leis upon arrival and gorgeous sunsets every single night

WHERE WE ATE:

  • Spago: High end restaurant by Chef Wolfgang Puck at the Four Seasons hotel. We went here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing. I got the Mahi Mahi and Jeff the Shrimp Curry.
  • Paia Fish Market: worth the wait in line! We both got fish tacos which was recommended by locals.
  • South Maui Fish Company: Another recommendation from a local. It’s a food truck, but the ONLY place on the island that serves fresh fish caught that morning. They sell their fish to Mama’s Fish House. They have incredible tacos and poke. They sell out, so go early.
  • MonkeyPod Kitchen: One of our faves! We got the pineapple and pulled pork pizza which was to die for. They also claim to have the best Mai Tai on the island, which Jeff agreed with.

Other restaurants that were recommended to us:

^ we also drank a whole lot of POG and the BEST macadamia nut chocolates (my fave!)

ACTIVITIES:

  • Luau at Wailea Beach Resort : rated one of the best and it was the best I’ve been too! We loved it. The food, the show, it was unforgettable.
  • 90 minute Kayak & Snorkel Tour: We loved this tour so much. It was just a small group of 6 with a guide who is a marine biologist. We kayaked close by, then hopped into the water, saw a ton of fish and swam with the turtles which was a highlight of the trip! I was so sore and tired following, its a lot of work but so fun and worth it.
  • Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel Tour: this was a 5 hour experience by boat and we got to snorkel Molokini crater and Turtle Town. They also served us breakfast and lunch on the boat. We really enjoyed the day, although saw no turtles so that was a bummer. We did see a lot of gorgeous fish and coral reef. We took this underwater camera with us and it took incredible video and photos! So glad we had it with us.
  • Shoot with a photographer: highly recommend Liv Shaw! We shot maternity photos with her and she’s incredible. Can’t wait to share the photos with you all. We will treasure them forever.
  • Massages: we loved our couples massage at the Mandara Spa 10/10
  • Pool … beach… pool …. beach repeat!

^ In Hawaii, there is a special type of lei that is given to pregnant women. An open-ended lei is considered the only type for a pregnant woman, as the closed type is considered unlucky for the baby. So they cut my lei as we entered the luau.

^ how cute is this little guy?!

Other recommendations that were shared with us:

  • Hike (if not too hot)
    • Iao Valley State Park
    • Waihee Ridge Trail Wailuku
    • Pools at Oheo: 7 swimming holes connected by waterfalls and bamboo forest

WHAT I’M PACKING FOR OUR MAUI BABYMOON

^ DRESS // SIMILAR BAG // SIMILAR HAT

We’re off to Maui next week to celebrate both Jeff and my birthday, along with our Babymoon! It will be our last big trip before baby and we’re both super excited to relax in one of our favorite places on the planet.

It’s going to be a relaxing trip, but we do have a few things planned such as a boat and snorkeling tour, massages at the spa, and a Luau. The rest of the trip I’m excited to relax in the sun and water as I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant.

TOP ROW (FROM LEFT): Floral Print Dress // Orange Dress // Lime Green Dress // Multi Color Tiered Dress // Summer Fridays SPF30 Sunscreen

BOTTOM ROW (FROM LEFT): White bikini Top // White Bikini Bottom // Lilac Bikini Top // Lilac Bikini Bottom // Green One Piece Swimsuit // Wide Brim Hat // Floral Hair Clip // Woven Tote Bag

I’ll be wearing mostly dresses on the trip, along with swimsuits and cover ups of course. I’ve been on the fence out wearing a two piece bikini at this point in my pregnancy, but I sized up to a Medium in both this white bikini (top and bottom) and lilac bikini (top and bottom). They fit so well and I think they are both super flattering! Also, I’ve heard amazing things about Hunza G swimsuits, because they come in one size and stretch with you as you grow (throughout pregnancy). The material is so soft, stretchy and comfortable so I’m excited about this one as well.

In terms of dresses, I opted for bright colors and long and flowy sillouettes. The orange, lime green and multi color print scream Maui to me.

Also, can’t forget a woven tote, wide brim hat and sunscreen! I have been loving this one by Summer Fridays.

Will be sharing lots more from our trip here and on my IG so be sure you’re following me there as well! xx

Thank you Revolve for sponsoring this post!

BEST OF: 2022 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE

Alright ladies and gents, it’s officially that time of year. The NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE has kicked off and you know I’m covering all the best of the best for you!

The sale can be overwhelming but I have gone through everything to make it easier for you to shop. I’m rounding up my VERY favorite picks (versus just anything and everything) and also including my top 12 aka what I’ll be buying.

This time around is a bit different for me being pregnant, but its such a good time to pick up some staple pieces that you will wear all Fall and Winter long. I re-buy some of the same pieces each year (like the pajamas) and always grab a few sweaters, jackets and boots on sale. This year I’m adding baby selects to the list and definitely leaning more towards cozy items (hello cozy barefoot dreams robes!)

I hope this makes it easier for you to shop. And AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU for shopping my links! It means a lot and really helps support me and my small business over here. I will also be sharing lots more on IG stories and the LTK app (you can find me by searching jennapardini).

The sale is broken down by tier based on your account status. I’ve outlined below for you and you can CLICK HERE to check as well. Happy shopping!

*You can click each item in the collage to shop

MY TOP 12 PICKS / WHAT I’M BUYING

Every year I grab a pair of these and these pajamas because they are literally all I wear to bed year round! They are the absolute best. I’ll also be grabbing a robe this year, barefoot dreams socks (thinking about hospital bag) and staple jackets and leggings.

SWEATERS AND COATS

I bought this sweater last year and wore it so much, one of my faves! I will definitely be grabbing this faux leather jacket and denim jacket this year. Also lots of great basic sweaters that you can wear throughout the season.

PANTS AND DENIM

Hello perfect denim! So many great choices in the denim department, and you can’t forget about that faux leather!

ACTIVEWEAR

Zella is where it’s at when it comes to activewear! I love these leggings and the tennis skirt and dress also caught my eye this year.

COZY AND LOUNGEWEAR

This is my cup of tea this year, especially being pregnant and full on nesting mode. In addition to the pajamas and robes, this bra is THE BEST! I have it in a few colors and need to snag in a new size. It is so comfortable. Also barefoot dreams blankets and sweaters are a must in our household.

SHOES AND BOOTS

These booties are so good! I have them in a different variation but love the style even more this year. I also LOVE the high and low top white converse. I wear mine often. These sneakers are on my wish list in addition to these heels which look like designer dupes for less.

FOR BABY

My first year shopping for baby! The Uppa Baby Vista 2 stroller is the stroller we picked out and its on sale! Also the Nuna Pipa Lite Car seat is a good one as well that is on our list. I’ll be adding this sweater, sleep sack and onesie to cart.

FOR THE GUYS

Jeff loves all things Zella and Travis Matthew. These and these shorts are his fave along with these sweatpants. I’m also getting him this pullover this year and we also stock him up on boxers and socks during the sale as well.

CURRENTLY CRUSHING ON: ORANGE

It’s been awhile since I’ve created a style post on here, but here we are! I wanted to get back into the swing of adding things here to the blog versus just Instagram, so today Im sharing a summer color I’ve been crushing on lately: the color ORANGE. I just can’t get enough! It may be pregnant Jenna speaking, because I’ve definitely incorporated more color into my wardrobe. Also might be seasonality, and now that we live in a warm climate, I love the fun bright pops of color for Summer.

DRESS / SIMILAR SANDALS / BAG / SUNGLASSES

I’ve been living in dresses lately due to the bump. None of my regular pants are fitting anymore, so dresses and stretchy leggings it is! I love the puff sleeves on this dress, as well as the length. And DUH, the color!

Below I’m sharing more selects that I love in an orange hue. PERFECT for Summer!

xx Jenna
