LIKETOKNOW.IT HEART WALL

Hope you all are having a great week! Some exciting things are happening in San Francisco right now… the LIKEtoKNOW.it city tour is kicking off and making it’s appearance here in the city!

The @LIKEtoKNOW.it Reward Style City Tour  is heading to 9 cities across the globe to bring brand awareness to it’s newest feature “shop with a screenshot.” San Francisco is the 5th to adopt this beautiful mural located on the Palmers SF wall, at Fillmore and Clay Street and its definitely brightening things up a bit around here! The mural will be here for the next month so be sure to stop by and snap a pic if you are in the area!

OUTFIT DETAILS: WRAP DENIM SKIRT / TULAROSA TOP / MADEWELL DENIM JACKET / KENDALL & KYLIE MULES / REBECCA MINKOFF BAG / BAUBLEBAR NECKLACE

I’m sure you’re probably wondering, what the heck is LIKEtoKNOW.it?! It’s pretty awesome and I’m excited to share with you all! In short, LIKEtoKNOW.it allows you to shop products that you see in your instagram feed. Influencers have the ability to upload their images to the app, tag products which create a link to retailers. You can then “like” the picture and get access to the link. You can either get an email directly to your inbox or visit the app.

There is a really cool new feature, where you can now screenshot photos that you want to shop from Instagram (or even Snapchat and Pinterest)! After you take a screenshot you can open the app and immediately shop the items in the image. Since their March launch, more than 5 million screenshots of influencer created images have been matched and made instantly ready to shop via the Liketoknow.it app! So crazy!

It is such a cool way to shop, if you ask me! Before I started style blogging and even so now, I was constantly looking to influencers to shop. I actually bought most of my clothes this way. This was before LIKEtoKNOW.it was around so I had to do quite a bit of digging to find that certain top or pair of jeans. This just makes it so incredibly easy.

If you want to sign up, here is what you need to do:
1. Download the app & register for your account.
2. Like or screenshot Instagram posts that have a LiketoKnow.it link
3. Automatically receive an email or open the app with ready-to-shop product links

Be sure to check out this gorgeous mural is you are around town! Also, don’t forget to download the LiketoKnow.it app, its such a great tool if you are constantly on the hunt for new style finds like me. Hope you all have a great rest of your week. xo

PALM SPRINGS PART 2 // VACAY STYLE

Hey there! Today I’m sharing a few more outfits that I wore on our recent trip to Palm Springs. If you missed the first post, you can find it here. I basically loved every part of our trip at La Quinta Resort and you can see every inch of this property was a dream! It was also nice to wear some “summer attire” as you guys know we dont get much of a summer here in San Francisco until a few warm days around Sept/October.

OUTFIT DETAILS: SUSANA MONACO TANK / FOR LOVE & LEMONS GINGHAM SHORTS / TARGET SANDALS / BRIXTON HAT / FREE PEOPLE CROSSBODY

Couldn’t head to Palm Springs without a little gingham action! These shorts are the cutest. I love that they have a high waist and prefer to pair them with a fitted tank. I didn’t hop on the gingham trend at first, but I have to admit that it definitely grew on me. There are so many cute gingham pieces out there right now. Here are a few of my favorites:

Another necessity to any vacay style is a good wide brim hat. This one is under $44 and I couldnt resist picking it up in 2 colors. And for a few more wide brim loves…

OUTFIT DETAILS: REBECCA MINKOFF DRESS / FREE PEOPLE BAG (SIMILAR) / TONY BIANCO HEELS

You guessed it…another gingham look! This dress is darling and you can never go wrong with a little off the shoulder action. I wore this look to dinner one night on the property.

I’ve been stocking up on straw totes this summer and I especially love this and this one. I love the structure of a round bag, something I haven’t seen a lot of until this season. Can it just be summer forever?!

We spent most of the time on the property… there wasn’t really a reason to leave! We did venture out for a pizza dinner at Stuft Pizza, and went to downtown Palm Springs for one day to explore a bit. We ate at Trio which was total PS retro vibes, we loved it! It was way too hot to walk around, so we took the Aerial Tramway up to San Jacinto National Park. It was a nice and refreshing 80 degrees up there which was great. We didn’t hike, but we did explore a bit and took a few photos. The views were spectacular and we are so glad we made the trip “off campus”. I would highly recommend you take the Tramway if you are visiting Palm Springs!

I hope both of these posts help answer any questions you may have about where we stayed, ate, what I wore etc! We are excited to go back next year and would love to hear if you guys have any additional recs! Hope you all have a great weekend! xo

PALM SPRINGS RECAP PART 1

Helllllo lovelies! As many of you know, Jeff and I ventured to Palm Springs for my birthday a few weeks ago and today I am finally sharing a fun recap from our trip! I love going away for my birthday each year and this year all I asked was that we go somewhere where I can lay by a pool and just relax. No touristy things, just a pool, a cocktail and some tan lines. Jeff booked the trip a few months in advance and surprised me with a stay at La Quinta Resort which is in La Quinta, CA (about 30 mins away from Palm Springs).

We stayed for 5 days which was PERFECT. It was so nice to unplug (well, aside from social media), take a break from work and just spend time in the sun for more then just a weekend. It was HOT. And by hot I mean 120 degrees! But honestly wasnt so bad, as we were in the water or in AC most of the time.

La Quinta Resort is a BEAUTIFUL place!! I cant rave enough about every little detail of our stay. We didnt really want a “scene”, we wanted old historic Palm Springs and I loved everything about it. La Quinta was built in the 1920’s and has such incredible history. You can read more about it here. I was shocked to find out that La Quinta has 41 swimming pools, ,5 golf courses, a beautiful spa, tennis court, fitness center and gorgeous villas. And we definitely checked out each and every one of those things!

The grounds were incredible. The landscaping was perfect, I wanted to take a picture on every little inch of the property!

I loved the beautiful mission architecture. One of my favorite styles!

OUTFIT DETAILS ABOVE: LOVERS + FRIENDS DRESS / MERONA SANDALS (UNDER $35!) / FREE PEOPLE BAG (SIMILAR) / LUCKY BRAND EARRINGS / BRIXTON HAT (UNDER $45!)

Im standing in the entrance of the resort, lined in palm trees. I couldnt get enough of the palms!

OUTFIT DETAILS ABOVE: VICI DOLLS ROMPER (SIMILAR) / MERONA HEELS / FREE PEOPLE BAG / LUCKY BRAND EARRINGS / KOMONO SUNGLASSES

I packed a bunch of fun summer looks. which I was REALLY looking forward to wearing due to our SF “Summer”. This little dress from Lovers + Friends is the cutest, I love the cutout detail and ease of throwing on a dress and heading out the door. I LIVED in this hat and these sandals. Straw totes were also a must, and picked up this one from Free People. I am obsessed with this round guy, and have used it so so much since I purchased. I saw this cute Vici Dolls romper a week before we left and knew I had to have it. The ruffles are darling and who doesn’t love a romper?! Vici Dolls tends to sell out fast, but they have a lot of restocks so you can have them email you when your size is back in stock.

On the second night we went to a wonderful dinner at Morgans (AMAZING steak dinner), and my best friend and her husband surprised me and stayed the weekend with us! Then the next day at the pool I had another wonderful surprise from my sweet friend who now lives in LA. Thank you my loves for making my birthday that much more special!

We had SUCH a blast hanging by the pool in our floaties, watching a movie by the pool, having a wonderful spa day….we had no reason to leave the resort. The food at each restaurant was incredible, there wasn’t one single meal that was a let down. The spa was gorgeous as expected and our treatments were nothing short of spectacular. I never wanted to leave the spa! It was the definition of relaxation. I also went to the fitness center a few times, as you all know fitness is a big part of my life and I even make it a part of my life on vacation. They had classes each day, and I took a TRX and kettlebell class which was so much fun.

So if you cant tell by now, I would highly recomend you head on over to Palm Springs (area) and stay at La Quinta Resort! If you are looking to relax, hang by the pool, play golf, relax at the spa, this is the place for you! (BTW this is not a sponsored post at all, I just loved it so much!)

I will post a part 2 of this recap next week! I have more outfits to share with you. along with a few more deets about this spot and where we went we ventured off the property. Have a great rest of the week! xo

THE BEST LBD FOR UNDER $25

Hope you are having a great week!! We are heading to Palm Spring tomorrow to celebrate my birthday, and I am SO excited for a little getaway. Can’t wait to share photos with you! Be sure to follow my insta to keep up daily. 🙂

Anyways, I feel as if every woman needs an LBD in their closet at all times (or a few for that matter)! It goes without saying that they are a classic and can be worn for so many different occasions. Whenever I find a good one, I always snag it because I know I’ll have many opportunities to wear it. Today I’m sharing THE PERFECT LBD for under $25!

OUTFIT DETAILS: DRESS / EARRINGS / CLUTCH / SHOES

Shannon Righetti Photography

I found this steal of a dress on Nasty Gal as they are currently having a 50% off everything sale! The price alone is reason enough to buy. 🙂 I love the ruffle sleeves, as well as the tie front and cutout detail. It’s definitely more on the sexy side, but the over the knee length makes it a little less revealing. I am sooo glad I purchased, it fits like a glove and I HIGHLY recommend this little number.

Here are a few other classic LBD’s that are on the top of the list. Among my favorites are this simple off the shoulder dress,  and this cute long sleeve open back number.

DATE NIGHT STYLE // FAVORITE RESTAURANTS IN SAN FRANCISCO

I always look forward to Friday night, not only because the work week is over but because its usually our date night. We love exploring new restaurants as well as heading to our local spots. Ending the week with a glass of wine, good food and good company is always a good idea! I like to turn my Friday night meal into sort of a ‘cheat meal’ because there are too many good options that I cant pass up! Today I’m sharing some of our favorite restaurants as well as one of my date night looks, wearing my go-to colors: black and white.

DETAILS: TOP / PANTS / HEELS (SIMILAR) / BAG (SIMILAR HERE AND HERE) / EARRINGS (SIMILAR HERE AND HERE)

Torrey Fox Photography

I almost always throw on a black tank with a pair of skinny jeans, leather jacket and heels, but I recently found these amazing lace up flared capris and could not pass them up! They add a little summer flair to date night style. I also love that they have a high waist so I can wear one of the many crop tops I own. Crop tops are not easy to pair, as I feel as if the pants need to fit high on the waist but not too tight. These are the perfect fit! The only thing that I will say is that red wine and white pants are a scary combo!! It hasn’t happened yet, but please pray for me!

And some of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco:

A16: One of my favorite neighborhood spots, this cozy restaurant in the Marina if the perfect spot for pizza and wine. We love both sitting at a table or the wine bar if we can’t get a res . Start with buratta, then be sure to try the pizza. Such a cozy date night / cheat meal spot!

Causewells: This is our weekly date night or brunch spot. Its a few blocks away from the apartment, but also one of the best restaurants in the Marina in my opinion. We always walk in without a reservation and sit at the bar for a glass of wine before dinner. Causewells has an award winning burger which is a MUST TRY. I also love the house made ricotta, deviled eggs and smoked trout salad.

Spruce: My favorite restaurant in the city! It is more on the pricey site, but I love the ambiance and of course the food is to die for. We love heading to Spruce for special occasions. The roasted chicken, fois gras, tartar all have my mouth watering. You can also sit at the bar and indulge in one of the best burgers in the city (after Causewells). Food, service and ambiance are all A+++.

Terzo: Such a fun Mediterranean tapas spot in Cow Hollow. The atmosphere is warm and romantic and the food even better. I love the mozzarella de buffalo, bruschetta , hummus, meatballs, all to share with your sig. other.

Allegro Romano: This old school Italian restaurant is perfect for date night. It is located at the top of Russian Hill in a residential area, charming and quaint in every way possible. The staff is the sweetest, they greet you with open arms and always end the evening giving the women a red rose. All of the food I have tried is spectacular and always leave feeling the love. A hidden gem, worth checking out!

Gary Danko: A special date night spot for a birthday, anniversary or celebratory occasion. Gary Danko is extremely pricey, but so worth it to me. It’s one of the fanciest restaurants in SF and the service and décor are absolutely impeccable. Make your reservations well in advance and be prepared to be pampered! Hot tip: You can walk in and sit at the bar with a full menu!

Beretta: Located in the Mission, Beretta’s menu includes antipasti, pizzas, pastas, risottos, and rotating daily specials like cioppino and short ribs. While you wait for a table, grab one of the excellent cocktails at the bar. It’s open late night (food til 1 a.m.), and for weekend brunch.

I am also dying to check out Leos Oyster Bar, State Bird Provisions, Rich Table and Media Noche. Are any of these on your list? What is your favorite?
